octave-dataframe software package provides manipulate data in Octave similar to R data.frame, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install octave-dataframe
octave-dataframe is installed in your system.
Make ensure the octave-dataframe package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep octave-dataframe *
You will get with octave-dataframe package name, version, architecture and description in a table
